Action Plan and Strategy
Question: Discuss about the Action Plan and Strategy ? Answer: Introducation This marketing plan aims to facilitate the marketing of desktop computers in the city. To do this, an online presence is necessary, since the target market is expected to be made up of frequent internet users. The action plan will therefore include reaching out to the target market through popular social media sites, popular forums that they are likely to visit, and sending them emails. There will be a concerted effort to develop a message that appeals to this market, showing the distinct advantages of the product over others. In doing this, we aim to build a presence in the market, in line with our vision, mission and core values (Vyakarnam Leppard, 1994). Vision, Mission and core values Our mission is to be the premier computer hardware supplier in the country. Our mission is to engage our clients with the aim of providing the best technical solutions to their hardware problems. Our core values are integrity, fairness to both clients and employees, and quality. We also treasure mutual trust, realizing that this can only be built on the other values above (Karami, 2016). SWOT and PEST analysis Our strengths include a thorough technical expertise in our field, built on years of experience and professional qualifications. We also have sufficient capital to undertake rigorous marketing and meet our prospective clients demand. We have a well located premises, which is likely to attract walk in customers and help spread the word. Our weakness is that we are relatively new in the business, and have to wait for close to one year to break even, since this is a capital intensive venture. There are several opportunities to be tapped, including upcoming businesses that will definitely require computers. However, there are new entrants as well, who we are competing with to get the desired business (Gupta, 2013). PEST There are new regulations that will make it easier for us to conduct business, such as access to credit and advisory services from the department of trade. The easing of import restrictions will also give us the opportunity to import affordable but high quality machines from abroad. The economy is growing rapidly. This will mean that we will have a bigger and more affluent market to target. People are increasingly turning to other gadgets such as tablets and iPads. This social change will affect our target market, but office equipment market will not be affected in the short term. The new technologies that are coming up will force us to look for better and more innovative products to work with, if we are to compete in this market (Gupta, 2013). Description of E marketing tool We will have a social media presence on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. These pages will be used to aggressively market our products, and encourage people to visit our websites. Pay per click will also be utilized, whereby adverts will be placed on websites that our target market usually visits. They will also be used to encourage more traffic to our website. The website will be free for all. It will have all the details on prices and products available, and will be done in a sleek design showing our technical prowess. This e marketing tools are meant to complement each other. They are not so effective on their own, but taken together, they will give us an excellent marketing machine. Relevance to business The strategies selected above are aligned with the nature of the business, and the market it hopes to tap into. Our business is in the technology sector. As such, many of our prospective clients are to be found on the internet. By adopting this e marketing strategy, we will be able to connect with the vast majority of them. They will see a partner who has the same views as they do about technology and how it can provide solutions. Our market will be more appreciative of an online marketing campaign, especially since they will need someone they can trust will give them the services they need. Since our products will be accompanied by the agreement to service machines for a year, the clients need a trustworthy and proficient team to meet this part of the deal. Our marketing campaign will show this (Karami, 2016). Legal Considerations and considered research The import of technical equipment in the country is strictly regulated. There is a requirement to ensure the procured equipment is genuine, and is fit for the intended purpose. However, other free trade requirements may not affect the running of the business to a considerable scale, since the market is in near perfect competition there are several businesses in this market, none of which has a clear advantage over others in terms of expertise or other assets. We will sign confidentiality agreements with our clients, so that our personnel are legally bound to protect any client information that they handle. Strategies Our social media strategy will be simple, involving the creation of a page, and posting of our brochures on this page. The page will be updated regularly with new and existing products, details of price and location, and other activities we are involved in. The strategy is expected to be cheap, costing less than 1000 dollars per year. The strategy will be evaluated on the number of clicks and views, and will be managed by the marketing manager(Karami, 2016). The website will have more options than the social media website, including price and option to buy. This will be more expensive, costing more than 2000 dollars. This will be spent on hosting and design. The website will be managed by the IT team in conjunction with the marketing manager. It will be evaluated on the number of visits to site, and number of online purchases. The pay per click strategy will involve more costs than the social media option, but will be cheaper than the website, costing around 1400 per year. The strategy will involve placing a banner on popular websites. It will be evaluated by tracking the number of licks on the banner. The strategy will be managed by the marketing manager, in conjunction with Google. References Gupta, A. (2013). Environment PEST Analysis: An Approach to External Business Environment. The Kalapalo Indians Essay Example For Students
The Kalapalo Indians Essay The Kalapalo Indians of Central Brazil are one of a few surviving indigenouscultures that is uniquely protected by a national reserve in lowland SouthAmerica. Through no effort of there own, they have been isolated artificiallyfrom Brazilian social and economic influences that reach almost every otherIndian tribe in Brazil. This unusual situation has made it possible for theKalapalos culture to be undisturbed by the outside world and the surroundingtribes. Much of Kalapalo life is run through a central concept or an ideal ofbehavior, called ifutisu. This is an infinite ideological concept that isrepresented in many ways in social life and ideal organization among theKalapalo. The area in which the Kalapalo live is in the northeastern Mato Grosso statecalled Upper Xingu Basin. There are four unintelligible languages by groups inthis region. This makes the Upper Xingu Basin linguistically diverse, but withmany of the groups still sharing the same social and ideological features. It isvery difficult to trace back the origins of Kalapalo life because of theintegration of the many different and culturally diverse groups in the UpperXingu Basin. So, many of systems of kinship classification, marriage practices, ceremonial organizations, status allocation, and religious beliefs areconsistent with cultural rules and social practices and not with the originalsystem. Many of the modern local groups can only reconstruct their own historywhich is in limited detail, these systems cant be isolated completely from theexisting society. The two most important social units in Upper Xingu society are the village andthe household groups. Both the village and household can be considered corporatein that both control rights to territorial resources, acts as a unit whenperforming certain economic and ceremonial activities. Members of a householdgroup are obligated to pass out food which they collect amongst themselves. Evenwhen one cannot supply food a Kalapalo is assured of a share because everyone istreated with the same kind of respect. Despite this corporate organization, membership in villages and households is constantly changing, and there is muchmovement of people between group to group. The Kalapalo society is a system wherein social units, such as the villagegroups and households exist only because of the individual who decides to livein these systems and choose to cooperate with one another. This is verydifferent from other non-western societies whereas the individual acquire theresponsibility to join in social units, by birth or other means of relationshipto and with each other regardless of the identity of the individual themselves. The Kalapalo social organization is characterized by a flexible group membershipand significant differences in the classification of individuals with certaingroups. The choices for the Kalapalo to join groups is based on the personalrelationship between one another instead of certain clan membership, religiousbeliefs, or ancestry. The Kalapalo have an attitude towards cleanliness which encompasses all aspectsof life such as; food, houses, belongings, and physical appearance. During thetime of the year when manioc is being ready to be planted or when it isharvesting time, it is not uncommon to find them bathing three or four times adaily. The Kalapalos attitude towards cleanliness approaches the excessiveside. The Kalapalo believe in generosity and peaceful behavior toward every one theyencounter. They reject all acts of aggression and violent expression and find itinappropriate for human beings. Instead the Kalapalo embrace an ideal of non-violence which includes suppression of anger and a passive tolerance of behavior. In Kalapalo society people are incorporated into a cycle of reciprocity andgenerosity . The idea of sharing takes place only along the lines of priorrelations; such as kinship, friendship, or membership of the same household. Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintaintenance Essay Example For Students
Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintaintenance Essay The book Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance: An Inquiry Into Values is a novel that makes you really reflect on life. If the reader is not fully engaged in the book all they will notice is the one narrator who tells stories about his journeys on his motorcycle. However, if the reader actually focuses on the writing they will realize that the book has actually two narrators and explains life more thoroughly. The book actually points out other things rather than just telling the somewhat boring stories of a man, his son, and his motorcycle. The author expresses his thoughts in a different way, the narrator tells the story from actually two different points of view. The narrator speaks from his current self while telling his motorcycle stories, but also from the mind of his pre electroshock therapy personality, which he calls Phaedrus, who was previously a teacher and a very intellectual man. Throughout the majority of the book the reader is led to believe that Phaedrus was insane, however, after resuming reading the story he really is not. We will write a custom essay on Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintaintenance specifically for you for only $16.38 $13.9/page Order now This causes some confusion and leads us to question the reliability of the two personalities: which is more reliable? The novel begins with the unnamed narrator describing the world as he experiences it from his motorcycle journeys. He describes what the experience of riding on a motorcycle is like and how you can make full use of all senses. The narrator feels like you are more connected to nature when freely riding on a motorcycle rather then crammed into a car and stressed. Not long after the beginning we are informed of a ââ¬Å"ghostâ⬠named Phaedrus, who spent so long hunting a ghost, ââ¬Å"that he became a ghost himselfâ⬠. At first we assume Phaedrus was an old friend of the narrator, however, we soon learn all about how Phaedrus is actually the name the narrator has given to his pre electroshock therapy self also known as his other personality. It is at this point the reader feels some inaccuracy and confusion in the reading. What the narrator is saying doesnââ¬â¢t always add up or necessarily make sense. Basically what I am saying, he is unreliable. Though the novel the narrator says that Phaedrus is the one who was insane but I feel it is actually the other way around. Based off of the narratorââ¬â¢s view of Phaedrus may, at first, seem absolutely crazy. His ideas are quite different from the norm including his obsessive attitude. He obsesses over things such as quality and theories and the scientific method, and focusing on the littler things in life. Phaedrusââ¬â¢s ideas are just different, not crazy. In our society the terms are often confused to mean the same thing. Phaedrus wasnââ¬â¢t insane; he just had ideas that were different and told everyone about them even if they thought he was crazy. Phaedrus said what he felt and wasnââ¬â¢t afraid of what other people thought because he stuck to what he believed in. his ideas were similar to the ideas of Albert Einstein and Isaac Newton but people could not understand what Phaedrus was ââ¬Å"preaching. â⬠His theories were so far out there that people could not understand them and that is why he was assumed to be crazy. He was known as this because we are afraid of change so society was afraid of Phaedrusââ¬â¢ ideas that were crazy and different. This is what was evident in the end of the book. Phaedrus wasnââ¬â¢t crazier than any of us are; he just had some different ideas. Others couldnââ¬â¢t understand his philosophies, which is what led him to eventually believe he was insane. Phaedrus was actually completely reliable; it was those around him that were not. The story leads us to believe that Phaedrus was the crazy one, while the narrator was supposedly a completely different person. .uaf1d7ca1dfe748df26aa7323c455fe69 , .uaf1d7ca1dfe748df26aa7323c455fe69 .postImageUrl , .uaf1d7ca1dfe748df26aa7323c455fe69 .centered-text-area { min-height: 80px; position: relative; } .uaf1d7ca1dfe748df26aa7323c455fe69 , .uaf1d7ca1dfe748df26aa7323c455fe69:hover , .uaf1d7ca1dfe748df26aa7323c455fe69:visited , .uaf1d7ca1dfe748df26aa7323c455fe69:active { border:0!important; } .uaf1d7ca1dfe748df26aa7323c455fe69 .clearfix:after { content: ""; display: table; clear: both; } .uaf1d7ca1dfe748df26aa7323c455fe69 { display: block; transition: background-color 250ms; webkit-transition: background-color 250ms; width: 100%; opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #95A5A6; } .uaf1d7ca1dfe748df26aa7323c455fe69:active , .uaf1d7ca1dfe748df26aa7323c455fe69:hover { opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #2C3E50; } .uaf1d7ca1dfe748df26aa7323c455fe69 .centered-text-area { width: 100%; position: relative ; } .uaf1d7ca1dfe748df26aa7323c455fe69 .ctaText { border-bottom: 0 solid #fff; color: #2980B9; font-size: 16px; font-weight: bold; margin: 0; padding: 0; text-decoration: underline; } .uaf1d7ca1dfe748df26aa7323c455fe69 .postTitle { color: #FFFFFF; font-size: 16px; font-weight: 600; margin: 0; padding: 0; width: 100%; } .uaf1d7ca1dfe748df26aa7323c455fe69 .ctaButton { background-color: #7F8C8D!important; color: #2980B9; border: none; border-radius: 3px; box-shadow: none; font-size: 14px; font-weight: bold; line-height: 26px; moz-border-radius: 3px; text-align: center; text-decoration: none; text-shadow: none; width: 80px; min-height: 80px; background: url(https://artscolumbia.org/wp-content/plugins/intelly-related-posts/assets/images/simple-arrow.png)no-repeat; position: absolute; right: 0; top: 0; } .uaf1d7ca1dfe748df26aa7323c455fe69:hover .ctaButton { background-color: #34495E!important; } .uaf1d7ca1dfe748df26aa7323c455fe69 .centered-text { display: table; height: 80px; padding-left : 18px; top: 0; } .uaf1d7ca1dfe748df26aa7323c455fe69 .uaf1d7ca1dfe748df26aa7323c455fe69-content { display: table-cell; margin: 0; padding: 0; padding-right: 108px; position: relative; vertical-align: middle; width: 100%; } .uaf1d7ca1dfe748df26aa7323c455fe69:after { content: ""; display: block; clear: both; } READ: Art: The Ultimate Expression EssayThe truth is actually that it was not Phaedrus who was crazy, but the narrator. The narrator was completely unpredictable and unreliable and at times he seemed perfectly sane and normal, but would have random episodes where he just became absolutely obsessed with what and who Phaedrus was. He became consumed with it and believed things that were false. His body had been altered to basically depend on Phaedrus, which is what led to his unreliability. But Phaedrus was a normal person who happened to have some amazing ideas that were ââ¬Å"differentâ⬠which made him very reliable.

An Expository Essay Sample Outline - A Wise Way to Start
An Expository Essay Sample Outline - A Wise Way to StartIf you are thinking of writing an expository essay, the idea can seem intimidating and even difficult. You can imagine how a typical student must feel: he or she will be overwhelmed by the potential that lies in front of him or her and be unable to come up with a coherent essay of any substance. The first thing that a student need to keep in mind is that they should always do some research on this subject matter. Expository essays are no exception. The best way to understand the real nature of the subject is to do research on the subject. This will ensure that the essay contains only clear, concise ideas and makes use of the basic elements such as the beginning, middle and the conclusion of the essay. The next thing that a student needs to do is make use of an expository essay sample outline. The outline is nothing but a step-by-step method on how to outline a good essay. All great writers have an outline that they follow to gain focus and to become more focused in their writing. Here, you can use your outline as a tool to bring out your best. The expository essay sample outline is not the same as an outline for a thesis. In fact, it is a brief description of the thesis statement and how it relates to the rest of the essay. It is meant to help the writer to establish a clear idea, which he or she can subsequently proceed to write his or her thesis. An expository essay sample outline is a key tool in helping the writer to finish the first draft of the essay. If there are too many details that might confuse a reader, then the writer may have too many things to worry about. Such things are like a black hole, which the writer cannot escape from. The outline will give you a basis on which to go and to help you gain clarity and structure to your article. It will also be a great idea to see if you can adapt the outline that you have read and to incorporate these points into your own research. The point here is that the expository essay sample outline is not meant to provide all the details and information about the thesis statement. In fact, the purpose of this outline is to get you started with the structure of the topic and to help you start working with the main idea. Once you get the basics right, you can start to add more details and facts to the piece so that you can create a coherent essay of solid ideas. In conclusion, the expository essay sample outline is meant to help you organize the main idea of the essay and organize it well. It will also serve as a guideline to help you come up with a coherent, compelling and original essay that will stand out above the rest.

Essay Sample on the Emptiness of Promiscuity and Addiction
Essay Sample on the Emptiness of Promiscuity and Addiction The Sun Also Rises by Ernest Hemmingway grants the reading world a smooth flowing unification of various modern, in fact timeless, concepts of human life. Hemmingwayââ¬â¢s semi-autobiographical representations of life as part of the Lost Generation seem to ring as true today as they must have then (CliffNotes). This is certainly one of the characteristics common to all of the great literary works of the world: long-standing relevance to central life issues. With a cynical air throughout and lonely breezes of insatiability ââ¬â both of a sexual nature and concerning personal integrity ââ¬â the book has come to represent all humans at one point or another in the course of their lives. This document will explore some of the ambiguities and ironies that exist within the pages of this important work, and how it tends to place all of those who read it in touch with the shallower, less predictable side of their psyches. Hemmingway employs a style laden with omission to create substance; it is more what is not said or done that exposes truths to the readers (Wikipedia: The Free Encyclopedia). For example, in the case of Jake, he never fully expresses what happened to render him impotent. A nondescript war wound has stolen his very manhood. Enter the first irony. Certainly, a manââ¬â¢s worth does not live in his trousers. Jake however lives in a tormented world where he is unable to advance ââ¬â not simply because of the devastating effects of WW1, but because he cannot locate any real reason to live (Wikipedia: The Free Encyclopedia). Like Hemmingway himself as well as countless other people, he wandered aimlessly, trying to substantiate his existence in a world that really didnââ¬â¢t understand him. Perhaps his only meaning was to wait for the wanting Brett to need a soft shoulder to cry and vent upon. As with Jake, Brett is also awash in a world on meaninglessness and insecurity. Finding her shattered self-beliefs unbearable, she turns consistently to whatever man she finds attractive and instantly accessible (CliffNotes). She hides in a world of promiscuity and booze to shield her from the reality that is her life. It is said that she loves Jake, but cannot commit to him because of his inability to meet her sexual needs (Wikipedia: The Free Encyclopedia). Brett, like a surprisingly large percentage of modern women and men, finds her only value in her capacity to entice and seduce; gaining a false sense of power and/or accomplishment from it. When one fling ends, she is met with the misery of loneliness ââ¬â a forced circumstance that induces self-reflection and therefore sorrow. She is an opposite to Jake, he with no ability to satisfy and her with no ability to be satisfied even by the manliest of men (CliffNotes). The dual sexual natures of the characters act to symbolize very real factions of the general population of the Earth. This book delivers the truth concerning the underlying shallowness and callousness possessed by so many humans. They act on primal levels to achieve a numb state of existence where they are unaffected by the need to advance as individuals. They are stagnated in a pool of soured wine, left unable to swim or even tread the surface. Like lost children or homeless adults, they wander their domain searching for shelter, perhaps to luckily discover that the only available home is within oneself. Hemmingway knew the roads of sexual liberalism as well as the emptiness of loss. He attempted, perhaps subconsciously, to educate his readers about the pitfalls of promiscuous behavior and alcoholism. Perhaps he was trying to reinforce these concepts within his own mind; to save himself from the future that he was directed towards. The metaphoric intentions concerning bullfighting and sexual virulence, impotence and masculinity, the rejuvenating effects of natural resources, and the power of silence and omission all contribute to the overall wisdom presented by the book. The Sun Also Rises takes the reader on a trip of superficial destination; it acts to demonstrate that only emptiness is to be gained from actions that are initially empty in nature. The characters search for lifeââ¬â¢s meaning and find none. They therefore engage in activities that serve as escapes from the drudgery of lives so filled with no meaning. This is of the upmost relevance in this modern world of addictions. There are still the everyday effects of war. There are still multitudes of humans pretending to enjoy the escape brought about by booze and unwholesome sexual practices. Underneath, they are lost children searching for a home; adult- aged people that have never embraced the possibility that they have something to offer back to humanity: honesty. Management Information Systems Coursework Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 1000 words
Management Information Systems - Coursework Example Laudon and Laudon (2007) also placed emphasis on the importance of information technology in ensuring business survival. The speed with which businesses have to respond to customers requests makes this a very important point. Information is the lifeblood of an organisation and without information important decisions that determine the continuation of the business cannot be made. The major types of information systems that exist at a company that I am familiar with are inventory management, sales and accounting. These information systems are required in order for management to obtain information on a timely basis so that the right decisions can be made. The major types of problems that these information systems have helped to resolve in an organisation that I am familiar with include: i. The provision of inventory information in real time; ii. The provision of sales information; iii. The provision of timely accounting information. Inventory information is important in the prevention o f under-stocking and over-stocking of items. Stock-outs result in loss sales which eventually go to competitors. Additionally, holding too much of a particular item means that warehouse space is used to hold items that are not moving as fast as expected. The cost of holding stock can be very high especially for inventory items that are moving slowly. Furthermore, items that are moving slow takes up space that other fast moving and profitable stock items could do well with. An inventory management information system helps businesses to manage inventory effectively. Information relating to sales is important for management in service, production and retail businesses to determine if sales targets are being met. In the case of an organisation that provides services it helps management to determine which service area is generating the most revenue and which area is generating the least revenue. In the case of production and retail organisations it provides information on which products are doing well and which ones are doing poorly. Additionally, they will also be able to determine which geographic region they are performing best and worst in. It allows management to make decisions that are well informed and allow them to channel more resources if necessary towards the areas that are performing well and make corrective actions in other areas. Management require accounting information in order to determine which expenses have almost reached or have surpassed the budget. Information on receivables from customers and the amounts payable to suppliers can also be obtained. They also need to know the amount of profit that the business is making on a monthly, quarterly or yearly basis. It therefore means that an accounting system that is linked to other areas of the business becomes critical. When a sale is made and when a purchase takes place the information goes straight to the accounting system and updates the records of customers and suppliers. This allows informatio n to be readily available on critical areas of the business. Therefore, management is able to take the necessary information to achieve the level of profit required. If targets are not attained in a particular month management can then focus on putting the necessary controls in place. Part 2 In order for businesses to compete effectively they need information from within the organisation as well as from outside. This information has to be available quickly in order to enable management to make the right decisions. Therefore, the need exists for

1.Indirect Investing Research Paper Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 2000 words
1.Indirect Investing - Research Paper Example Such investment points towards the fact that the investors are investing in a product whose performance to a certain extent is linked with the performance of the property. The example of indirect investing is purchasing units in the property funds, purchasing shares in any of the property company that is publicly quoted and contributing to any pension plant that has a property in its portfolio (Indirect Property Investments). Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITS): These are considered to be the public property companies that are primarily listed on Stock Exchange. The investors buy shares in these companies that may be traded through the investorââ¬â¢s stock broker. The examples of such public companies are Great Portland Estate, Land Securities and Derwent London plc. The Land Securities is one of UKââ¬â¢s largest property companies that invest in almost all the classes and types of properties present across the country. However on the other hand Derwent London plc only invests in property present in Central London and that too mostly in offices. Unit Trusts: There are several other means of indirectly investing in property. These means may take several other forms that are suited for a number of investors. Some examples of unit trusts are mentioned below: The authorized and unauthorized investment funds can be further divided into open and close ended funds. The open ended funds are the ones which do not have a definite life span, which means that they may go on forever and their units can be traded in the open market. The example of Open ended funds is Standard Life Property Income Unit Trust. The close ended funds may have a definite life span, for instance 10 years. After this duration the property is sold and the unit holders are paid out. The example of Close Ended Funds is Schroders WELput Unit Trust. The investment in office property present in London will come to an end in the year 2023, after selling the whole
